COMMUNITY STUDIO TIME
Monthly studio pass entitles members to full use of the community space. Community studio hours at The Clay Studio are from 5:00pm-9:00 Mondays, 10:00am-9:00pm, Tuesday-Friday and from 10:00am-5:00pm on Saturday and Monday holidays except during special workshops. New members may start on the 1st or 15th of any month after a brief orientation/interview and dependent on availability. Monthly fee is $110. and clay purchased from the studio. Clay cost includes glazes and firing.

CLASS SESSIONS AND SCHEDULE 2010:

Class enrollment is an agreement that work is for personal use and exploration only and not for self promotion, private or public sale.

All adult classes are $235.  Fees cover 8 two-hour instructed classes once a week , all materials (tools excepted), and 8 additional studio hours/week. Register before August 7 and recieve a $15.00 discount on any adult class.

ADULTS
Beginning Ceramics
Thursday 6:30-8:30pm
The beginning classes are designed as an exploration of clay techniques both on and off the wheel and geared toward those with no prior experience or who may be intimidated to join a class with experienced people.

Beginning II
Monday 6:30-8:30pm
Wednesday 6:30-8:30pm
Beginning II will continue the honing of basic skills, shaping cylinders, pulling handles and more advanced handbuilding skills.

Continuing Ceramics
Tuesday 6:30-8:30pm
Solid skills are a prerequisite for the continuing class. The class will continue the exploration of shape, lids, handles, spouts, altered and more complex forms..

Clay All Levels
Thursday 10:00am-12:00pm
Open to all levels regardless of experience the class is exploration of clay techniques both on and off the wheel. beginners as well as seasoned seekers are welcome.

Handbuilding
Saturday 10:00am - 12:00 pm
The handbuilding class explores ways of working with clay without the use of a potter's wheel. Techniques demonstrated will include pinch, coils, and slab built forms. It is not a modeling class though figurative work is within the possibility of forms examined. All levels.

PLEASE NOTE
It is mandatory that all new students to the studio attend a class during the first week of classes.
Full refunds will only be issued if a class is cancelled due to lack of enrollment or if a request for refund is recieved a week before the start of a class session.No refunds or credits after the second week of classes. Refunds are given at the discretion of The Clay Studio, will be prorated and include a $25.00 processing fee.
